Located in Eastern Oklahoma, the family farm is an escape to nature. It is an active farm with beef cattle, chickens, ducks, barn cats and one dog, OJ, who keeps all the critters in line. Wild plum, dogwood and redbud trees grow wild along the hillside, while giant Oaks provide plenty of shade. Spending time on the farm reminds us of the vastness of Mother Nature and the insignificance of so many worries we shoulder.
The farm is also home to a large vegetable garden from season to season. There’s no fancy raised-beds in this garden. It’s the real deal, with plenty of rich soil infused with cow manure. Look for more archived posts from the farm.
