Blueberry Mule Cocktail

Although it’s February, I’ve been dreaming of summer.  This delicious Blueberry Mule will definitely be served up as the temps heat up.  If you like the traditional Moscow Mule and you don’t mind a touch of sweet, then you’ll love this blueberry variation.

Frozen Blueberries
Ginger Beer
St. Germain
Simple Syrup (It’s easy to make your own.)
Slice of Lime
Sprig of Rosemary

1.) Infuse your Vodka with the frozen blueberries.  (If your serving 6 or less- Take a cup of frozen blueberries and mix with 1 1/2 cups of vodka.  I like to really mash the blueberries.  Let this sit as long as you can- the longer the better.)

2.)Easily make your own simple syrup. (I like to make plenty to use for other cocktails, too.  Usually, I’ll mix 4 cups of water with 4 cups of granulated sugar in a medium sauce pan.)  Heat until nearly boiling or the sugar is dissolved. Set this aside and let it cool.  (If you have the time make it a day or two in advance and store it in the refrigerator.)

3.) Craft your Cocktail:  I love to use a copper mug, but collins glasses are perfect, too.   Mix equal parts blueberry infused vodka, ginger beer and simple syrup. Add one tablespoon of St. Germain. A squeeze of lime and garnish with a fresh sprig of Rosemary and a few blueberries.

Since you’ll have extra simple syrup, you might want to make a few margaritas, too.  Here’s a great recipe for a pitcher of perfectly crafted margaritas.
